Built by Canadian National Railway, the tower was the world's tallest tower and free-standing structure for 32 years. Today, it remains an iconic symbol of Toronto and Canada, attracting over 2 million visitors annually.
Why It's Memorable:

- Features the world's highest wine cellar at 351 meters (1,151 feet)
- The SkyPod observation deck at 447 meters (1,465 feet) offers 360-degree views of Toronto and Lake Ontario
- The EdgeWalk allows visitors to walk around the outside of the main pod, 356 meters above the ground
- Built to demonstrate the strength of Canadian industry and to solve communication problems in the growing city
- The tower's design was inspired by a tripod, with three legs supporting the main structure
- A symbol of Canadian engineering excellence and Toronto's skyline
- Illuminated at night with LED lights that change color for special events and holidays
